Denver Day Out - Family Fun!!

Waking up early with packed bags in hand... the Morris crew headed down the highway to the Orlando airport to catch our morning flight to Denver. The kids were excited about the trip and to see their cousins! We boarded our Frontier flight early and thank goodness for the built in TVs in the headset's (even though it is Direct TV)! The kids were great on the flight and we arrived in Denver around 11am...picked up the rental car and headed into Downtown Denver... to our hotel. We met with Susan & Lyman that afternoon at their fantastic condo just across the Platte River. Bret & Jackson made a quick stop to REI to pick up some new ski goggles for the week. Mary, Jim, Jake and Audrey arrived and we all hopped on the 16th Street bus then a lovely couple of blocks walk to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. The Spauldings could not have picked a better spot to have dinner! There were 17 of us - including 6 kids (Jackson, Emily, Jake, Audrey, Trent & Avalon) - we were in the back room and we had great food, conversation and the kids had a blast! The balloon guy came around and made balloon animals for the kids. The boys - Jackson, Jake & Trent - all headed back to the Spauldings with Mary & Jim for a boys sleepover. While, Audrey stayed with us at the Marriott - Emily was thrilled to have her Audrey with her for the whole night! We all woke up the next morning and enjoyed pancakes back at Cafe Spaulding and the kids enjoyed their hot tub and heated pool. After Jennifer, Dustin and Tayler arrived we loaded up our cars and caravaned to Breckenridge!!! The weather was gorgeous and the town is as charming as we remembered! I cannot wait to explore and enjoy this little slice of heaven this week!

Stay tuned more blogs to come!
