Skiing in Breckenridge!!

We spent last week in Breckenridge, Colorado skiing and spending time with family - the (Florida Morris'), Jennifer, Tayler & Jenn's boyfriend - Dustin, Jacob & Audrey (Aaron's kids), Mary & Jim! We had some visitors pop by for a day or two... Tony & Avalon and Aunt Susan!

The weather was fantastic and the skiing was GREAT! Bret, Jim (Mary's husband), Jacob (our nephew) and I skied Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - while Jackson was in ski school. Jackson loved ski school and was skiing the blue runs with us by the end of day two! He is a great little skier and his instructor Nico could not have been more pleased with his progress - the guys at the ski rental shop challenged Jackson to make Level 4 by day three and he did!!

Bret's Mom, Mary even joined on Wednesday - she had not been on skis for years and was a natural out there... Watch out Jim - I think you might be buying someone new skis for her birthday!!

We skied all day and would come back to the house and hang out, eat - drink, play games and soak in the hot tub! What more could we ask for in a vacation! Like last year, the trip coincided with the Budweiser International Ice Sculpture competition - this is such an amazing event to see - the pieces of art that are created out of the huge blocks of ice are unbelievable! The kids love to see the daily progress throughout the week!

The kids (cousins) all had a fantastic time playing together and the girls stayed home with either Grandma or Aunt Susan and formed their own gang - the aptly named "Powder Puff Gang!" These girls loved playing London bridge, coloring, watching strawberry shortcake and just having lots of girl fun!! Next year, Emily will be in ski school - gotta start them young! She is already talking about it!
This is our second year skiing in Breck and we are looking forward to making this annual family trip every year and hoping that next year my sister, Mom & Marty will join the fun!
