No Kids weekends~ Gotta love them!

Well, it doesn't happen very often but when it does - no one will take advantage of a getaway with my husband & lifelong best friends quicker than me! So when my thoughtful mom offered to babysit the kids & dogs for the weekend after Thanksgiving, well it was a no-brainer! We were outta here! Bucky & Tami's friends have a condo at Ponce Inlet and very generously offered it to the four of us for the weekend! We packed our bags on Friday afternoon - needless to say, packing is a lot easier when it is for Two - and headed east to the beach! The condo was amazing
and the view was even more spectacular!
After scoping out a couple of marina bars, we settled in with a few pitchers and some shrimp. Although the service at the restaurant left a lot to be desired - we were there for the company! The evening was not the non-stop party you might imagine with the four of us... the girls ended up falling asleep early, while the boys jammed out on Wii RockBand! Hey, Buck don't quit your day job!

The next day began very lazy... just the way we like it! We did a little coastal adventuring to find "just the right spot" to watch the BIG GAME (see the post below for details - if you have the stomach for it!). The evening's escapades did not end there as a matter of fact they were just getting started... however some details will never be revealed - to protect the innocent! All I can say is "what happens in Ponce Inlet stays in Ponce Inlet!"

Sunday morning was not as relaxing as the previous one, Bucky & Tami had to head out early to check on their sweet 13-year-old lab, Barkley. He was definitely under the weather and we were all obviously concerned. I am glad to report that he is doing better after a trip to the doggie ER.

Bret & I had a great time being together and of course, we always enjoy the company of our fellow "married with children" friends - thanks guys, we look forward to many more memories - some with kids & some without!!
