Labor Day on the Chain of Lakes...

Well, the Morris' have worked hard this weekend - working on the "Project Kitchen"- so today we decided to take the family Sea Doos out for the day to enjoy the beautiful chain of lakes here in Winter Haven. The unique chain is just one of the great things about living here! We met some friends and started out with a picnic on Lake Summit and cruised along to Lake Lulu, Lake Eloise, Lake Shipp and ended up at Lake Roy... where we met up with some of our favorite fellow water travelers, The Owens for some tubing and more picnicking! The ice cream truck showed up mid-afternoon - the kids were thrilled with the yummy distraction to the heat. What a great way to spend a Monday!

Well, the Morris' have finally taken the plunge - so to speak... Bret found a couple of Sea Doos and who am I to say no to countless weekends of family fun on the lakes of beautiful Winter Haven! Bret caught the waterbug recently when we were with our friends the Heimers at Crooked Lake... the rest was shall we say history. Bret negotiated the deal and picked up the new toys last night... we took them out on Lake Summit as a family - what a blast! So look for the Morris' zipping across the lakes or better yet come join us!
