The night before Christmas in the Morris household, we have some pretty simple sweet traditions in our family... one is that we are usually scrambling around doing some last minute shopping but we always have a simple dinner - this year we invited Ma, Aunt Nancy and Jared (a co-worker from BHN) over to join us... of course, my mom & sister were here with us too! The kids and I always sit down to read our favorite Christmas stories - Twas the Night Before Christmas and Santa Mouse...we sprinkled "reindeer food" on the front yard for Santa's reindeer and of course left Santa some yummy cookies & milk (and of course a piece of cheese for Santa Mouse!) When the kids are snugly tucked in their beds - Santa's elves get to work... of course with the traditional "Christmas Story" marathon playing in the background. Bret & I love the late night bonding on Christmas Eve knowing that that parents all over the world are doing the same thing we are ... staying up to ensure their children have the best Christmas morning ever!
