Well, as Halloween 2008 approached, I had been asking the kids what they wanted to dress up as this Halloween. Well, Jackson answered with no hesitation... "Captain Rex from Star Wars, The Clone Wars, Mommy of course!" So that was simple... head to Party City grab the costume and (of course the best part) the laser gun! Jackson was set... Now Emily... well if you know our sweet little love bug she just loves to dress up and was having the hardest time deciding what to dress up as for the big night of trick or treating! Her first choice was to be a purple butterfly and as I was about to click the "pay now" button on the Old Navy website... she changed her mind! Wow, she truly is my daughter! So the long string of girlie girl costumes choices began... Cinderella, Snow White and a pink puppy was even mentioned at some point. So as the big day approached, I was beginning to wonder what our self proclaimed "sweet angel baby" was going to dress up as on Friday night. Well, Emily decided not to compromise - she decided to be a ballerina~butterfly~princess! Perfect, no three year old should ever have to choose just one fabulous costume when you can choose three!

Trick or treating was a blast, we piled in the car for our little tradition of visiting my grandmother, hers is the first house that we always "trick or treat" at since we have moved home. Then back to our neighborhood to visit all the neighbors and answer the door for our own candy monsters! The kids had a great night and Emily really did not want it to end... she would have strolled the streets all night knocking on doors asking for candy... but of course, when you are a ballerina~butterfly~princess the good times are just getting started...
