Well, as we gathered school supplies and shortened bedtimes in preparation for the first day of 2nd grade & the "3-year-old" room, the state of Florida was also watching Tropical Storm Fay off the Cuban coast as it headed into the Gulf this Monday. By that afternoon, the school board decided to close schools for the next two days "just in case" ... so luckily the the storm was just that a storm and the kids are home for two days!! So as Jackson lines up the board games and Emily prepares to hunker down for a Dora & Diego movie marathon, we will sit safely at home and enjoy the rainy conditions - which by the way is better than experiencing a hurricane any day! Been there done that! Let's hope that Extreme Kids will be open tomorrow?
Did I mention that the two furry members of the family could not be happier.... dog photos by Jackson.

Hi Wendy!! I thought I'd pop on over and see what you are up to. I am off work today because of Fay. Thank goodness, it is not a bad storm. But back to normal tomorrow. Sounds like you and your family are making the most of the rainy weather. Take care, Jill
